DOOMSDAY ARC
The Doomsday Machine was the sixth episode of the second season. It is one of my favorite episodes.
As a kid, I absolutely loved that there were TWO ships involved in combat with an alien menace!
As an adult, Commodore Decker was outstanding as an emotionally devastated Starship commander.
At the end of the episode, the Enterprise just leaves the Doomsday Machine drifting in space.
It always seemed to me they would have towed it in for Star Fleet to examine.
Then, one day I thought "with how big it is (it's HUGE if you listen to the numbers; 1200 acres inside if the fill it with 50 feet of soil) it would make a great colony ship."

I watched Land of the Lost as a kid- it was full of action, adventure, and dinosaurs!
What's not to like?
Oh- on top of that little Bobby Wills thought Holly was absurdly cute.
Again- what's not to like.
Watching as an adult, the special effects were rough. Sure, some of the episodes were absurd (Civil War dude?!) but it was at the end of the day, a family trying to make it in a strange land.
A couple of episodes after "Dad" left, I thought they were setting up how everyone would get home- there were definite hints on Pylons being able to do that.
